Thunderbirds News · Timpview Welcomes new Athletic Director

In the beginning of July, Timpview HS announced that Wendy Anae would be the new Athletic Director in charge of all activities sponsored by Utah High School Activities Association.

Ms. Anae’s management and leadership experience in the field of athletics is extensive and impressive. As a coach, she led teams at both the high school and collegiate levels. Beyond coaching, Ms. Anae has developed deep expertise as director of operations for major division one basketball programs, assistant athletic director at BYU-H, and currently as athletic director at Kahuku High School. Ms. Anae has also been a classroom teacher at the high school and collegiate levels.  Ms. Anae’s expertise in the areas of Title IX, inclusion, and equity will be a tremendous asset to our community.

Ms. Anae’s  passion for athletics was forged growing up in a competitive home environment that produced multiple D1 and professional athletes, D1 coaches, and an Olympic medalist. As a D1 student-athlete herself, Ms. Anae was one of the first female athletes to receive a fully endowed athletic scholarship from her hometown. Ms. Anae is a certified Special Education teacher with a passion to serve children with learning disabilities. She also holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration and Management.  Ms. Anae will be joining Timpview on August 1st while Tom Fell will carry on as the Interim AD until then.  We welcome Ms. Wendy Anae to Timpview High School.
